Due to rail mishap in Bihar, the rail traffic has been severely hit on the main route of New Delhi-Patna-Howrah route. Train operations on both the up and down lines of the route have been affected. According to the East Central Railway (ECR), 31 trains have been canceled on the route.
All prominent trains are plying through diverted routes. The train services are being operated via Deendayal Upadhyaya-Gaya-Patna and
Deendayal Upadhyaya-Sasaram -Arrah-Patna rail section.
Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) Birendra Kumar said 95 trains have been diverted, 05 trains have been short-terminated and two are rescheduled. The restoration work is underway in full swing at the site of the derailment. The CPRO said one of the lines will be restored today for the train operation.
