Kurnool: Anti-Corruption Bureau sleuths uncovered assets worth Rs 1.55 crore (government value) during a two-day search on Thursday and Friday at the residence of Kumpati Suvarna Kumari, the administrative officer in the Road Transport Department, Nandyal office.

The raids, conducted by six ACB teams, spanned locations in Kurnool, Hyderabad, Markapuram, Banaganapalli, and Nandyal.

Kumari is accused of possessing assets disproportionate to her income, with the officials discovering one house, eleven house plots, one two-wheeler, one car, 630 grams of gold, 769.100 grams of silver, Rs 9.19 lakh in cash and a bank balance of Rs 8 lakh.

ACB DSP Venkatadri said the value of the seized assets, approximately four times their open market rates.
