In Jammu and Kashmir, on the eve of International Women’s Day, ADGP Jammu Zone, Anand Jain on Wednesday flagged off “Pink Patrol” from Women’s Police Station Gandhinagar Jammu. Akashvani Jammu Correspondent reports that these Pink Patrols will be deployed on various vital & crowded locations within Jammu city for safety & security of the women folk & girls and will ensure proper patrolling in various locations to timely address issues of crimes against



women especially eve-teasing. 

ADGP Anand Jain said that the purpose of Pink Patrol is to build confidence measures among women folk and girl students of Jammu District. He further said, J&K Police is committed to provide crime free atmosphere to every citizen especially women. He also launched 24X7 women helpline number 9906310101 of Jammu Police for women in distress on this occasion.
