The district has been recording a remarkable dip in mercury levels for the last few days, giving a tough time to residents.

According to information provided by district authorities, the minimum temperature continued to be 6.8 degrees Celsius for the second consecutive day on Wednesday. It was 7 degrees on Sunday. It plummeted to around 8 degrees from the last couple

weeks.

The Agency areas are witnessing chilly weather conditions. Dense forest areas such as Sirpur (U), Utnoor, Indervelli, Jainoor and Bazarhathnoor mandals are reeling under biting cold.

Kumram Bheem Asifabad is also freezing. Tiryani, Asifabad, Wankhidi, Sirpur (T) and Kerameri mandals are witnessing unpleasant cold conditions too.
