A week after his plan of joining the BJP was postponed, S M Krishna is all set to go ahead. Veteran politician and former chief minister of Karnataka, Krishna will be inducted into the Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday. He is expected to join the party in the presence of BJP national president Amit Shah.
The former Congressman and a strong Vokkaliga leader from Karnataka was to join the BJP on March 15 but had to cancel plans and return to Bengaluru owing to a
personal loss. Krishna, who had left for Delhi on March 14, returned to Bengaluru on an early morning flight on March 15 owing to his sister's demise.
Krishna who resigned from the primary membership of the Congress by submitting a single line letter to party president Sonia Gandhi was invited by Karnataka BJP chief B S Yeddyurappa to add strength to the saffron party. It is now learnt that the former external affairs minister will join the BJP on March 22.
