The Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Adesh Gupta resigned from the post of President after defeat in the Delhi Municipal Corporation (MCD) election. There are reports quoting party sources that his resignation has been accepted by party president JP Nadda.

Virendra Sachdeva has now been made the working



president. Sachdeva will handle the work till the next Delhi BJP President is appointed.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) won the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) election. Arvind Kejriwal's party won 134 seats in the 250-ward MCD. The BJP won 104 and the Congress came a distant third with just nine seats. Others got three.
