Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has tested positive for coronavirus. The chief minister had taken the first dose of vaccine against Covid-19 on March 3. Vijayan is currently asymptomatic.
"Currently, the chief minister is asymptomatic. But he is likely to be shifted to the Kozhikode Medical College," news
agency PTI quoted CMO sources, as saying.
His daughter Veena Vijayan and son-in-law P A Mohammed Riyas had earlier tested positive.
CM Vijayan had extensively travelled across the state as part of the electioneering for the Assembly polls which was held on April 6. The counting of votes will be held on May 2.
