Agitating farmers called off their protest at Delhi’s Kisan Ghat, the memorial of Chaudhary Charan Singh, in the wee hours today. Agitation leader Rakesh Tikait said that farmers are now satisfied with the government's approach towards the agitation. He said government should now fulfill their promises to farmers made  yesterday.

Avnish Awasthi also confirmed that the agitation is over now. 

The Central government allowed the farmers to enter the national capital in the early this morning, ending the standoff between the police personnel and protesting farmers. Earlier on Tuesday, farmer's leaders had a long discussion over their demands with Home Minister Rajnath Singh.
