Agitation in WB asking justice for victim of kar Medical College

Women in Kolkata and several major towns and districts of West Bengal took to the streets around midnight last night to hold agitations and protest rallies demanding justice for the horrific rape and murder of a 31-year-old doctor at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. It was named “Women, reclaim the night”. The call was given mainly to women to capture the roads and lanes but eventually men women all gathered on the



streets. 

The call for protest garnered widespread support from almost all cross-sections of society. People were demanding justice for the victim of the RG Kar Medical College case and stringent punishment for the culprits. People widely believe that more than one person were involved in the rape and murder case. Kolkata Police has arrested one Sanjay Roy in the case and he has been handed over to CBI.
