New Delhi: The Agriculture Ministry is organising a two-day Chintan Shivir from today in Delhi. The programme will be graced by Agriculture Minister Narendra Tomar along with Ministers of State for Agriculture, Kailash Choudhary and Shobha Karandlaje. The objective of the programme is to have a discussion on identified thematic areas like Climate Resilient Agriculture, Leveraging the Private Sector in Agriculture, Use of Digital Technology in Agriculture, Enhancing the Export of Agricultural Products, Ease of doing Farming Business, Strengthening Extension System and Integrated Nutrient Management for soil health.

The Chintan Shivir provides a unique



opportunity for the free flow of innovative ideas breaking the barrier of hierarchy and giving out-of-the-box innovative ideas for the welfare of farmers and for taking agriculture to the next level. 

This Shivir is first of its kind effort intended to have a focused discussion on identified themes with the participation of Ministry officials and Experts from both the public and private sectors. 

It is being organised to not only brainstorm on progress made in agriculture but also plan for future requirements, maximise exports and modernise Indian agriculture.
