A high alert has been issued in Jammu ahead of Republic Day 2023 as sources said that Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI has activated four terrorist launch pads along with the international border for targeted killings and attacks on security forces in the Valley.
The aforementioned launch pads are: Masroor Bada Bhai, Chapral, Looni and Shakargarh. According to sources, militants of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) are assembling at these launch pads.
Of late, the manner in which terrorists have carried out targeted killings in Rajouri and Poonch, the security forces have been kept on high alert to prevent any major terrorist incident in the Jammu region before January 26.
Sources have also informed that Pakistani rangers are helping these terrorists to infiltrate the border and over 50
militants are currently present at these launch pads.
In December 2022, Pakistan's ISI chaired a meeting with Lashkar and ISISI terrorists at a launch pad built in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir. The meeting was chaired to locate new infiltration routes to Indian borders and supply weapons from drones.
Pakistan's intelligence agency is currently in a frenzy because terrorist recruitment is almost negligible in the Kashmir Valley and infiltration has also come down significantly.
Earlier in the day, security forces gunned down two LeT terrorists near a court complex in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The killed terrorists were identified as Arbaaz Mir and Shahid Sheikh of Pulwama district. Both the terrorists had escaped from a cordon and search operation last week in the nearby Magam area.
