The Indian Air Force (IAF) is all set to celebrate its 92nd Air Force Day on October 8 in Chennai with a grand event, showcasing India's air defence capacities.
This year, the theme is 'Bharatiya Vayusena: Saksham, Sashakt aur Aatmnirbhar' (Indian Air Force: Capable, Strong, and Self-reliant), highlighting the force's commitment to national security, self-reliance, and modernisation.
The celebrations will
feature a spectacular flypast over Marina Beach, showcasing 64 aircraft from various categories, reflecting India's growing air power and military readiness. Aircraft such as the Su-30, MiG-29, Light Combat Aircraft (LCA), Light Combat Helicopter (LCH), Chetak, Dakota, and Jaguars will be on display. The Navy's anti-submarine warfare aircraft, the P8I, will also make an appearance, while the Army’s Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) Mk4 will join the aerial showcase.
