Air India to buy 250 aircraft from the France’s Airbus, in what is billed as world’s largest aviation deal in a history.

Airbus has developed excellent relationships with us. At a virtual announcement in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron, Natarajan Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons, stated, "Today I am happy to announce that we have signed a letter of intent to acquire 250

aircrafts from Airbus."

40 A350 ultra-long-range wide-body aircraft are included in the deal. The remaining aircraft will have narrow wings.

Once we expand, we have significant options for increasing fleet orders,” Chandrasekaran stated.

During the virtual conference, other leaders were in attendance, including veteran industrialist Ratan Tata and Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.
