All District Hospitals (DHs) of Jammu and Kashmir would have functional Dialysis Centres by July 2020 even as the facility is already available in majority of District Hospitals.

This was stated by Financial Commissioner, Health and Medical Education Department, Atal Dulloo while chairing a meeting to review implementation of Pradhan Mantri National Dialysis Programme under National Health Mission, in Jammu. It was



informed that Dialysis Centres have been established in 13 districts, including Rajouri, Kathua, Poonch, Kishtwar, Baramulla, Pulwama and Kupwara. 70 dialysis machines have been provided free of cost by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

It was revealed in the meeting that in the year 2019, 11,689 dialysis sessions were held and 273 patients availed dialysis services.
