In Kashmir Valley received fresh snowfall yesterday, leading to cancellation of all flights at Srinagar Airport scheduled for the day. The snowfall has ended a long dry spell in the Kashmir Valley bringing cheers among the locals and tourists. Snowfall was recorded in Heerpora, Razdan Top, Peer ki Gali, Sadhna Top, Sinthan Top, Zojila, Sonamarg and famous skiing destination of Gulmarg in north Kashmir. Srinagar-Leh National Highway, Bandipora-Gurez and Mughal Road, an



alternate road-link connecting Kashmir with rest of the country are continuously closed for vehicular traffic due to snowfall. 

However, the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway (NH-44) is through for vehicular traffic, as per the last reports came in. Administration has also released avalanche warnings for hilly areas of Kashmir, urging locals to avoid unnecessary movement for the next 24 hours.
