In Madhya Pradesh, the State Tourism Development Corporation has opened all its hotels and restaurants after a gap of over four months. The outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic had forced closure of over 60 hotels and restaurants that the corporation runs in the state in March.
All hotels and restaurants in Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Khajuraho and Pachmarhi regions are being reopened on tourists' demand. Corporation's Managing Director S Vishwanathan told that
Hotels and restaurants will follow the guidelines and SOP issued by the Union Ministry of Tourism and the MP Health Department.
Meanwhile, the number of COVID-19 cases in the state climbed up to around 41 thousand 604 after the 870 new cases reported in the past 24 hours in Madhya Pradesh. 643 coronavirus patients were discharged from the hospitals yesterday taking the number of recovered cases in the state to 31 thousand 239.
