All party panel of Rajya Sabha agrees to allocate 5 hours for debate on GST bill

The Business Advisory Committee of the Rajya Sabha has allocated five hours for discussion on the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Bill. It will be take up for consideration and passage this week.  However, the schedule have been not fixed, so far. The government indicated that it



would happen only after consultations with all political parties.

The Rajya Sabha Business Advisory Committee is an all-party institutional mechanism that bring a consensus among political parties regarding the business that could be taken up for consideration.
