Mumbai: In Maharashtra, all religious places will reopen from today. Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has called upon people to strictly adhere to the Covid 19 protocol. Maharashtra government has issued strict SOPs for the management of all religious places.

According to the SOP, use of sanitizers, wearing masks and maintaining of 6 ft distance for every visitor is mandatory. SOP said there should be no distribution of Prasad or sprinkling of holy water. No



one is allowed to touch the idols. It also said if possible every religious place should have separate entry and exit gates to avoid crowding.

Meanwhile, the govt has advised pregnant women, senior citizens and children below 10 years to avoid visiting the temple. Many temples like Siddhivinayak and Shirdi Sai Baba among others which attract large crowds have adopted the method of online pre booking for the devotees to avoid rush.
