Allahabad High Court, stayed on the issuing of appointment letters for 15,000 assistant teachers, on Tuesday. The Court has also instructed that joining should not be given to those candidates who already got the appointment letters till next order.
The order was passed by the court of Justice Ram Surat Ram Maurya on petition of Deepak Kumar Tewari and others. Court has instructed state government and other opposite party to file the reply within one month. Next hearing on the matter will
be on August 27.
Advocate of the petitioner said advertisement for the post of assistant teacher was published in December 2014. Some of the candidates had done Diploma in Education (Special Education) from Rehabilitation Council of India.
Primary education department had rejected the applications of the candidates having such degrees. But after instructions of the high Court the department accepted the applications of these candidates but stopped them in counseling process.
