Allahabad High Court has suspended a Lucknow court judge Om Prakash Mishra for granting bail to Uttar Pradesh former minister Gayatri Prajapati in a gang rape case. Chief Justice of the high court BD Bhosle announced the decision while hearing government Uttar Pradesh government's plea yesterday. 

The high court observed that the way Mr Mishra worked and bailed out Prajapati and other accused in gang rape case is highly objectionable. Mr Mishra will retire tomorrow. Earlier



yesterday, Justice Bhosle stayed the order of granting bail to Prajapati in the gang rape case on an application of the state government. 

The bail was granted by ADJ POCSO judge Mr Mishra on April 25. State government told high court that the bail to Gayatri and other accused was granted without considering the correct facts and circumstances. However, Prajapati was not released from jail as police sought his judicial remand in two other cases which was allowed.
