Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has said, Congress will not hold any political gatherings for the next two weeks in view of the spike in Covid cases in the state. He held a review meeting in Chandigarh on the Covid situation and appealed to other political parties also to keep their gatherings within the prescribed numbers which is 50
percent of capacity, subject to maximum of 100 in closed and 200 in open spaces. He said, no political gatherings should take place in the most affected districts.
Wearing face masks has been made compulsory in the state. Police and Health authorities have been ordered to take all those violating the orders for the RT-PCR Testing.
