Ancient Vinayaka idol found broken in Guntur district

Guntur: An ancient Vinayaka idol at a temple in Firangipuram of Andhra Pradesh‘s Guntur district was found broken on Monday morning.

Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, a leader in the BJP, wrote on Twitter: "The idol of Vinayaka ji was destroyed in an ancient Ganapati temple in Firangipuram,



Guntur." Similar incidents have occurred in the past, but the YSR Congress Party government did nothing, and it is now repeated. Reddy demanded severe action against the culprits.

A case has been registered in connection with the incident and an investigation is underway, the police informed.
