Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Nara Chandrababu Naidu launched India’s first indigenous Monkeypox RT-PCR Kit at the AP Medtech Zone (AMTZ) in Visakhapatnam. This kit was developed at AMTZ in collaboration with Transasia Diagnostics and has been validated by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO).

The Chief Minister highlighted that the lyophilized components in the kit

are specifically designed to ensure that it can be shipped and used in even the most remote areas. He emphasized that this kit offers precise, reliable, and accessible diagnosis.

Mr. Naidu further underscored the importance of this innovation as a reflection of the “Make in AP” initiative, showcasing Andhra Pradesh’s and India’s leadership in healthcare innovation on the global stage.
