Visakhapatnam: The NIA court in Visakhapatnam adjourned the knife attack case to December 15. The court announced this on Friday following a bail petition filed by defence lawyer Salim Abdus, who represented the accused in the case of Jallipalli Srinivas.
It may be recalled that Srinivas allegedly attacked present Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy
at the Visakhapatnam airport lounge in October 2018. The case was later taken over by the NIA. Srinivas is serving his remand in Rajahmundry Central Jail.
Salim Abdus said he never heard of a person serving a five-year remand in jail. He said the case was being delayed due to political reasons.
