Andhra Pradesh Plans to Provide Over 32 Lakh Tap Water Connections in Under Jal Jeevan Mission

Andhra Pradesh has planned to provide 32 lakh 47 thousand Tap Water Connections in the current financial year under Jal Jeevan Mission. Jal Shakti Ministry said, Andhra Pradesh today presented their Jal Jeevan Mission Annual Action Plan through video conference.

The State has 95 lakh 66 thousand rural households, out of which around



45 lakh already have tap water supply.

The Ministry said, Andhra Pradesh government aims to make 13 districts and more than 17 thousand villages Har Ghar Jal in the current financial year. The Jal Jeevan Mission is a flagship programme of the Central Government, which aims to provide piped tap water in every rural household by 2024.
