The Vice President Venkiah Naidu gave a huge shock to the Rajya Sabha MPs who until the last minute thought they would spend Wednesday evening enjoying a sumptuous Andhra feast in Vice President Venkaiah Naidu’s company.
Venkiah Naidu had spoken to President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and leader of the Opposition Ghulam Nabi Azad and floor leaders of the parties he’d invited. Sources told that preparations were done and dusted
as early as last week – specialist chefs from Andhra Pradesh were to cook up tasty southern treats for Naidu’s guests.
During the meeting with the floor leaders of various parties in his chamber, Venkaiah Naidu expressed his displeasure over the frequent disruptions and informed about his decision to cancel the dinner. He felt it’s not appropriate to host dinner when the House wasn’t functioning for close to a couple of weeks.
