Anup Jalota, a devotional singer, has stated that he supports the idea of Hindu Rashtra, which contributes to the recent rash of Islamophobic incidents in India.

Jalota justifies his demand for a Hindu nation in a video statement that he posted on Twitter. He says that India should declare itself a Hindu nation now that there are

more Hindus in the country due to Pakistan's majority Muslim population breaking out of India.

"No Hindu nation exists anywhere in the world. Nepal used to be there, but it is no longer upkeep. That, however, cannot be considered a Hindu Rashtra.

"It's just a statement. He stated, "Nobody will be impacted."
