As the alliance partner in Nitish Kumar government, Lalu Prasad's RJD continues to target the CM accusing him of silently supporting the BJP in Uttar Pradesh. The BJP, on the other hand, remains optimistic about Nitish's return into the NDA fold.

A massive shift is being witnessed in Bihar politics after the Uttar Pradesh verdict where the BJP registered a landslide victory. As the alliance partner in Nitish Kumar government, Lalu Prasad's RJD continues to target the CM accusing him of silently supporting the BJP in Uttar Pradesh. The BJP, on the other hand, remains optimistic about Nitish's return into the NDA fold.
Speaking to journalists in Patna, senior BJP leader and former deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi when questioned about the growing rift between RJD -JDU and possibility of Nitish making a comeback into NDA, he sounded optimistic.
"Just wait and see what happens next. Everyting is possible in politics," said Sushil Modi, senior BJP leader.
It may be noted that ever since BJP recorded a thumping

majority in Uttar Pradesh, senior RJD leader Raghuvansh Prasad Singh has alleged that Nitish Kumar's party JDU by deciding not to fight polls in UP covertly helped the BJP to win elections. Nitish Kumar too, reacting to the UP poll results had slammed the Samajwadi-Congress alliance asserting that their opposition to de-monetization ruined their chances in elections. He said that opposition de-monetization was a wrong move by parties like Congress, Samajwadi Party and BSP.
RJD is also angry over the recent meeting of two senior JDU leaders Shyam Rajak and Sanjay Singh with Union Minister Ram Kripal Yadav on the day of Holi which both leaders called a informal meeting. However, in order to douse the fire over the grand alliance, RJD leader and deputy CM Tejaswi Yadav and his MLC mother Rabri Devi have asked Raghuvansh Prasad Singh tobfefrain from making comments which are adverse to health of grand alliance.
" Raghuvansh Prasad's comments are not in good taste and I urge him to refrain from making such comments," said Rabri Devi.
