Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh Government has announced the 23 YSR Life Time Achievement and four YSR Achievement-2022 awards, to be presented on November 1, Andhra Pradesh Formation Day.

Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has approved the recommendation of names by the high-power steering committee said the adviser to the government, communications, Krishna Mohan, here on Friday.

The screening panel announced the list of institutions and individuals
receiving the honours. The awards will be presented by the Chief Minisiter.

"The selection was made on the basis of their exceptional contributions to agriculture, arts and culture, Telugu language and literature, sports, health, media and social service. The selected institutions and individuals have excelled in their respective spheres contributing to the overall development of society, it was stated.

The Dr YSR Lifetime Achievement Award carries a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh, a bronze figurine of Dr YSR, a souvenir and a commendation letter. A cash prize of Rs 5 lakh, a souvenir and a commendation letter are awarded under the Dr. YSR Achievement Award.

The awards are being given for the third successive year.

Government adviser, public affairs, Sajjala Ramakrishna, National media adviser Devulapalli Amar, adviser (communications) Krishna Mohan, CM’s political secretary Muthyala Raju, and PR Commissioner Vijayakumar Reddy and principal secretaries of various departments were part of the screening committee.

8. Tallavajjhula Sivaji, journalist and writer (Prakasam district)

9. Chingicherla Krishna Reddy, folk arts (Anantapuram district)

10. Kali Sahebi Mahboob and Shaik Mahaboob Subani, Nadaswaram

district)

Telugu language and literature:

1. Prof. Bethatvolu Ramabrahmam (West Godavari district)
