Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh (AP) Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Tuesday served a notice to the Telugu Desam (TD) seeking details of its party accounts and asked it to submit them by November 18.
An AP CID constable arrived at the TD party headquarters, NTR Bhavan, and served the notice to TD MLC and party office secretary P. Ashok Babu. The notice was related to the donations received by the TD party in connection with the AP skill development
scam.
TD MLC P. Ashok Babu said, "The AP CID served a notice seeking details of party accounts and asked to submit them by November 18, stating that there was no reply to the similar notice served earlier."
TD sources say that the party leadership will discuss the issue and take legal advice. The TD has already moved the AP High Court complaining against the AP CID for harassing it.
