Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced a Jagananna Suraksha programme, in addition to the Jaganannaku Chebudam grievance programme, from June 23 to July 23 to resolve the people’s problems related to documents, certificates and government schemes.

The CM asked officials that all arrangements should be made for construction of houses in the CRDA (Amaravati) area, and that the works should start from July 8. For those who chose option-3, the construction of houses should start immediately from the government side.

The Chief Minister stated these during the Spandana video conference he held on Wednesday with collectors of all districts and higher officials from his CM Camp Office in Tadepalli.

He said, "The Jagananna Suraksha programme is in addition to the Jaganannaku Chebudam. Secretariat staff, public representatives, volunteers and householders will go to every house and explain about Jagananna's Suraksha within each village and ward secretariat."

Any request related to a house, any documents related to death, income, marriage certificates and those related to government schemes should be resolved without ignoring a single complaint in the secretariat, he said.

At mandal level, MPDO and deputy tehsildar should form into one team while the tehsildar and EO of Panchayat Raj should form into another team. Both these groups should go to villages. The whole process is to be completed and the field staff present in the village should pre-fix the date of arrival at the secretariat.

"In this month-long programme, every house is screened," the CM said.

The chief minister said camps are conducted by mandal officials in relation to documentation, certificates, government medals, qualifications etc. People with problems are brought to the secretariats and all the necessary certificates and documents are provided to them. This will make it possible for officials to solve these problems and prevent them from reoccurring.

"Similarly, in urban areas, the

municipal commissioner and staff will form one team and the zonal commissioner or deputy commissioner and their staff will tour the wards. This entire programme will be held for a month from June 23 to July 23," Jagan Reddy explained.

"Those who are found eligible under various welfare schemes in Jagananna Suraksha will be granted the sanction on August 1. One of the objectives of this programme is that no one who is eligible should miss out," he said.

He said, "All those appointed as special officers for 26 districts visit the respective areas twice a month and supervise the programme. Every district collector must visit two village and ward secretariats in a week. The joint-collector, secretaries and HoDs in four secretariats must visit at least two secretariats in a month. ITDO PO, sub-collector, RDO and municipal commissioner should visit four village and ward secretariats in a week."

"Quality is very important in the resolution of requests received in Jagananaku Chebudam programme. Collectors from village secretariats and secretaries of government departments should pay special attention to this. Needless to say how important is the Jaganannaku Chebudam to the government as the Chief Minister has named this programme after him. Resolve all the previously unsolved complaints effectively, put smiles on the face of the ordinary man," the Chief Minister said.

He said, "The responsibility to solve it with quality is on everyone's shoulders. It is also important to settle the petitions within the stipulated time."

The Chief Minister said so far 59,986 requests have been received through Jaganannaku Chebudam. Of these, 39,585 complaints were resolved within the stipulated time. Another 20,045 petitions are heading for resolution within the stipulated time.

He said the way of solving complaints was good but the level of satisfaction "needs to increase." He directed district collectors and SPs to take stringent action and eliminate the presence of spurious seeds, pesticides and fertilisers in the market.
