The big day has come for the farmers of the Andhra Pradesh state as the government is all set to launch the Raithu Bharosa scheme today in Nellore district. The arrangements for the inauguration have completed at Vikrama Simhapuri University, and the launching event will begin at 11 am. As this is the first time for Jagan to visit Nellore as Chief Minister hence, the partymen are making big arrangements.
About 54 lakh farmers in the state are expected to benefit from the scheme. So far, 40 lakh
farmers have been selected. However, it is decided to provide 50 thousand assistance to the farmer's family for four years at the rate of 12,500 every year. However, the government in the review meeting held yesterday increased the amount to 13500, which will sum up to 67,500 for four years. The total amount will be transferred in three instalments as suggested by the farmer organisation leaders. This has irked the opposition party who took a dig at the government.
