Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority and Singapore-Amaravati Investments Holding Ltd (SAIH) have signed a Concession and Development Agreement to develop the Start-up area in Amaravati in Vijayawada.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu welcomed Singapore’s Minister of Trade & Industry, S. Eswaran, in the 3rd Joint Implementation Steering Committee. Both the leaders discussed the teamwork of the Singapore Consortium and the Andhra government. 

They also decided that direct



flights between Singapore and Vijayawada should commence in a month’s time. 

Partnering with the Singapore Consortium, the Amaravathi Development Corporation has planned 1,604 Km of roads of which 697 Km are under construction. Out of the 2,354 Km of water supply lines planned, 831 are under construction.

The newly formed organisation, Amaravathi Development Partners, consists of the Singapore Business Federation, CLC, and other members of the Consortium.
