A woman was shot dead in Delhi's Shalimar Bagh when she was returning from a Gurudwara with her husband Pankaj Mehra and two-year-old son.
The woman has been identified as Priya Mehra. The incident took place when the family was travelling in the car and another speeding car overtook them and stopped the car.
As they stopped, a man whipped out his pistol and started firing on the
couple. However, Priya suffered severe bullet injuries. Both the infant and the Pankaj escaped unscathed, while Priya died.
In another similar incident, two men were shot dead in separate incidents by unidentified bike-borne men in north Delhi's New Usmanpur and Krishna Nagar area of Shahdara on Monday.
