Army Chief General Bipin Rawat to visit Srinagar today

Army Chief General Bipin Rawat will visit Srinagar today.

During his visit, Gen Rawat will review the security situation and preparedness of security forces in the Kashmir valley. This is the first visit of Gen Rawat to the valley after the abrogation of special status to Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370. 

Meanwhile, authorities



yesterday restored mobile phone services in five sensitive districts of Jammu region. Jammu Divisional Commissioner Sanjeev Verma said that the mobile phone services have been restored in Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban, Rajouri and Poonch districts. Mr Verma said, the situation is now totally peaceful and things have returned to normalcy in all the districts.
