Around 10,000 special guests have been invited to witness the 76th Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path in New Delhi on Sunday, as part of the government’s effort to enhance public participation in national events. Among the special invitees are Accident, Prevention, and Disaster Assistance – AAPDA Mitra volunteers, Accredited Social Health Activist – ASHA workers, Farmers Producer Organisations – FPOs, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Beneficiaries, My Bharat Volunteers and others. The inclusion of these volunteers and beneficiaries reflects the government’s effort to acknowledge and honour

the contributions of individuals dedicated to public service and safety.

An ASHA worker Meena, shared that ASHA workers are often under-appreciated in their own field. However, she believes that by inviting them to such events, they will gain more recognition and help raise awareness.

These workers and volunteers play a vital role in disaster response and public health. Highlighting their contributions not only appreciates their efforts but also helps raise awareness about their importance in society.
