As the Delhi elections draw closer, the tension between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and BJP escalated. AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday claimed that the BJP is set to name Ramesh Bidhuri as its chief ministerial candidate for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections.
Speaking at a press conference, Kejriwal remarked on
Bidhuri's controversial past, including his derogatory comments about Chief Minister Atishi and Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
"With the Delhi elections nearing, we hear reports that Bidhuri will be officially declared as the BJP's chief ministerial face in a day or two. I extend my congratulations to him," Kejriwal said sarcastically.
