Assam CM Sonowal instructs several district administrations to prepare in case of flood

8Assam Chief Minister Sarbanand Sonowal has instructed several district administrations to prepare for any eventuality in case of flood . His instruction has come following reports that landslide formed artificial lake in China . 

 

Official sources said that 6 NDRF teams have been rushed to Dibruragh from Kolkata. These teams would be deployed in the districts of



Upper Assam. 

 

Mr. Sonowal instructed Dibruragh, Dhemaji, Lakhimpur, Tinsukia district authorities to remain if the landslides caused flood in Assam.Mr. Sonowal also spoke to External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj over the issue. She instructed Mr. Sonowal to take all precaution to face any eventuality.
