Assam govt announce cash award of Rs.1.6 crore for athlete Hima Das

In Assam, the state govt has announced a cash award of Rs 1.6 crore for athlete Hima Das, for her impressive performances in the IAAF World Under -20  Athletics Championship and Asian Games in Jakarta,



Indonesia. 

The award will be handed over to her during a function scheduled to be held on Friday.  In the World Championship, she bagged Gold in women’s 400 mts. In the Asian games, she won a Gold medal and two Silver medals.
