Guwahati: Assam government has ordered an enquiry into the death of two persons and injury to several others during an eviction drive at Dholpur in Darrang district. Official sources said, enquiry will be conducted under the chairmanship of a retired judge of the Gauhati high court.

Two persons were killed and



several injured including cops during an eviction drive. Police had to take action when protesters attacked cops. One seriously injured policeman was sent to Gauhati medical college and Hospital. Meanwhile, the ruling BJP told opposition parties not to instigate people to take law into their own hands.
