Assembly session to begin today at Dispur in Assam

In Assam, the four day long assembly session will begin today at Dispur in Guwahati. This will be the last sitting of the current assembly ahead of polls. Official sources said, Governor P B Acharya will address the house today. Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, who is also holding Finance



portfolio, will table vote on account for the first four months of 2016-17 year. 

Opposition parties including the BJP are likely to corner the ruling Congress on several issues including law and order, fund utilization and rhino poaching, among other issues.
