At least 10 people killed in bus accident in UP

In Uttar Pradesh, at least 10 people were killed and more than 25 injured in a road accident in Kannauj district late last night.  

The fatal incident happened near Ghiloi village under Chhibramau police station. A private bus collided with a truck on the national highway  and both vehicles caught fire after the accident.

Additional SP   Police, Kannauj, Vinod Kumar told that  almost 44 passengers were laden on the bus.The bus was going to Jaipur from



Kannauj.  

Twenty five passengers who have been seriously injured, are  admitted to hospitals at Chhibramau and Tirva. The number of dead may increase.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed deep sorrow on the incident and announced  Rs. 2 lakh  each to the nearest kin of the deceased.

He has also announced financial assistance of Rs. 50,000 to each of the injured. He has also instructed for the free treatment of the injured.
