At least seven Maoists gunned down in Dantewada district in Chhattisgarh

In Chhattisgarh, security forces have gunned down atleast seven Maoists, including 3 women rebel, in Dantewada district of Bastar region today.

Additional Superintendent of police- Naxal Operations, Gorakhnath Baghel confirmed the incident. Following a specific inputs about the presence of Maoists a joint team of District Reserve Group- DRG and Special



Task Force- STF had launched an intensive search operation in the area. 

The encounter took place in the forest of Timenar near the border of Bijapur district. The bodies of seven Maoists were recovered from the spot. Security forces also recovered six rifles. Additional forces have been rushed to the spot.
