AugustaWestland case: Delhi court seeks CBI, ED reply on Christian Michel bail plea

New Delhi: Alleged AgustaWestland middleman Christian Michel on Friday approached a Delhi court for bail in CBI and ED cases. Special Judge Arvind Kumar issued a notice to the CBI and ED on the bail plea and sought reply till  February 12.

deal case, was extradited from the UAE on December 4 last year. It was stated before Delhi’s Patiala House Court that since the chargesheet was not filed against Michel within the stipulated 60-day period under Section 167(2), there is no basis keeping him in judicial custody. Christian Michel is currently lodged in Delhi’s Tihar Jail.
