Avian Influenza H5N1 Confirmed In Ducks In Two Panchayats in Kerala

In Kerala, Avian Influenza H5N1 has been confirmed in ducks in two panchayats, Edathva and Cheruthana in Alappuzha district.

District authorities have initiated steps to cull all farm birds

within a one km radius of the affected area.

The presence of bird flu was confirmed by the National Institute of High-Security Animal Diseases in Bhopal.
