Bengaluru: The pothole menace in Bengaluru is often counted a major civic issue and road mishaps continue to be reported because of the bumpy roads. In a city with traffic issues galore, pot holes - on certain instances - even turn out to be death traps. A video is now being widely shared on social media where a woman - travelling on a bike - can be seen falling after a mishap on the busy road.

The horrific clip - that was apparently recorded in a dash camera of a car behind the bike - showed a woman hitting the ground in seconds after she drove her two-wheeler on the battered road. A Twitter user, Rijesh. shared the video and wrote: “Caught in my dashcam. This happened the day before yesterday on kasturi nagar orr flyover. The biker skidded due to a pothole. Luckily the women escaped with minor injuries. Hope BBMP takes some action in filling up the potholes.(Sic)  The video left many people shocked while others demanded accountability from the civic body. Though the area police have ensured to fix the stretch where the accident happened, the video has raised some important questions by the citizens.

A user tagged the civic body, some politicians, and asked “All of you think if you or your kin were riding what wud be your reaction? What are you doing? What prevents you from touring your constituency and make a report (Sic)”

Another user said: “Bad roads of Bangalore will be remembered by the voters during BBMP elections and assembly elections. Get into proper damage control mode. (Sic)”

Amid concerns, those who saw the clip are bound to be extra careful while out on roads of the state capital.
