Bahujan Samaj Party has said that President's rule should be imposed in Rajasthan in view of the political crisis and COVID-19 situation. BSP chief Mayawati said when people are suffering due to the pandemic, the state government, on the other hand, locks their MLAs in a five-star hotel instead of letting them work for public welfare. BSP General Secretary Satish Chandra Misra said the Governor should take a decision in this matter and President's rule should be imposed without any delay.
BSP has also issued a whip to its six MLAs telling them to vote against Congress in any
“no-confidence motion” or any proceedings to be held during Rajasthan assembly session. Issuing separate notices to its MLAs, the party said they will face disqualification if they violate the order. Mr Misra said, there cannot be any merger at the state level at the instance of 6 MLAs unless there is a merger of the entire BSP everywhere at the national level.
Apart from this, the BSP has also decided to intervene in the pending petition of disqualification before Rajasthan High Court or file a separate writ petition.
