Haryana police on Monday announced a reward of Rs 2 lakh for information on the identity of the person who stabbed Hafiz Junaid inside a train near Ballabhgarh in Haryana. The police has issued a notice which says that any person having information about the culprit can inform the Haryana Railway police, Faridabad Railway additional deputy chief and the Faridabad GRP station house officer. It also says that the identity of the informer will be kept secret.

The police is also pondering having a sketch of the main accused made based on witnesses' statements.
The police has so far arrested five persons in connection with the killing of 17-year-old Junaid onboard the Delhi-Mathura passenger train between Ballabhgarh and Mathura
stations on 22 June.
All five accused have been sent to jail. According to the police, they have recovered blood-stained shirts from the accused. Police has also informed court that these accused have admitted that they had fight with Junaid and his brothers and didn't allow them to get off the train.

Junaid was stabbed to death while his brothers, Hashim and Sakir, were injured by a mob which also allegedly hurled racial and religious slurs against them. Sakir was released from the hospital after 10 days on Sunday evening.
His brothers said the attackers had taunted them and repeatedly called them "anti-nationals".
The police had earlier announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh to anyone giving credible information leading to the arrests of any accused in the case.
The incident had triggered nationwide outrage.
