Barest minimum reservation counters to open at railway stations for special trains

Railway Ministry has said that the barest minimum reservation counters will be opened at stations from where trains will originate, terminate or have stoppages enroute.

The booking at these counter will be allowed only for patients, Divyangjan, freedom fighters, sitting as well as former MPs, MLAs and MLCs, and Railway employees. However, booking under general quota



will be permitted only through IRCTC website. 

In these special trains, reservation quota of two berths in Third AC has been earmarked for Divyangjans, and Two berths in First AC and  four berths in Second AC have been earmarked for sitting and former Parliamentarians. There will be no concessions for senior citizens.
