Bay of Bengal depression turns into Cyclone, heads towards Lakshadweep; heavy rains lash coastal Tamil Nadu

Chennai: A depression that formed over the southwest Bay of Bengal on Wednesday has now turned into a cyclone.

As per reports, Cyclone Ockhi lay centered 170 km southeast of Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu Thursday morning. Heavy rains have already started lashing the coastal areas of the state.
